Bruce Castle Museum and Archive's Storytelling Chairs project celebrated and reflected the diversity of the borough; it showcased the great talent and skill of our local creative sector.

The Storytelling Chairs Project involved the commissioning of 11 local artists and the making of 22 beautiful chairs which were used at the Haringey Feast.

Each chair was designed to reflect stories from the local community, collected through creative workshops. Each commissioned local artist used these workshops as a source of inspiration to create one chair which reflected their practice and another chair with a local community group.

The artists who made the chairs include Christelle Cartier-Mutombo, Doodlegänger, Rachel Gornall, Al Johnson, Crouch End U3A, Sunbul AkhtarDominika Lipniewska, N15 Archive, Las Witchas Collective and Sian Naomi Dorman.
