About the Creation

Sewn Together at 4u2newsmag created place names for the guests at Haringey Feast, using recycled materials. They collaborated with different communities at various workshops across the borough.

Place names were made for the invited guests coming to Alexandra Palace, as well as for those no longer with us, who were unable to sit at the table.

The place names were made from cardboard, empty Tetra Paks, textiles, discarded wood, leaves, dried flowers, paints and other creative media. The finished products were both beautiful and eco-friendly.

About the Artist

Sewn Together aims to build recovery and resilience through free crafting workshops, both in-person and online. Workshops involve activities from sewing, to crochet, to eco-journaling.

About the Community

‘Your Place at the Table’ workshops to create the place names were run with local communities, including Lordship Rec and Recovery Pride.

4u2newsmag brings together Haringey residents who are facing isolation and loneliness using creative topics as a tool to improve overall health and wellbeing, with the opportunity of joining local community activities.
